Great is Thy Faithfulness

As I reflect back on all the Lord has done, I am overwhelmed. In just this past year alone, it’s as if I have been this plant that he has uprooted and planted in his own personal garden that He tends to not just daily, but moment by moment. It’s like He studies me and knows what I need in any moment and graciously provides and protects me no matter the cost with joy. If you know me, you know I know the Lord to be sweet. The way He loves and cares and provides at just the right time. The way He sees me and fills me, it’s purest love I have ever experienced.

As Christians, we say yes to the Lord, but the Bible says that the truth is that even before the world began He chose us and adopted us to be His own (Ephesians 1:5). Right now, I’m study Early Childcare and Education. In our current module, we are learning about adoption, and how it is the process of providing a permanent place of rest and safety and love for children. I’m learning about the beauty and possible challenges that come with adoption legally, emotionally, financially, all for a child you didn’t birth, but choose to raise and nurture forever. At it’s core, this is what the Lord has done for each of us. We belonged to this world, but in His abundance and richness of love, He has chosen to take us in and save us from darkness and destruction and pay the price Himself, even though we are not deserving.

The Lord has just done so much for me, this is not to brag on myself, but on Him. I honestly, can’t keep up, but it in attempt to remember, I am going to write many of them hear for gratitude’s sake:

  1. Gave me a home in Him.

  2. Saved me from an addiction to pornography and masturbation

  3. Increased my compassion for souls

  4. Provided me with a new family in Christ (sisters, brothers, mamas, uncles, aunties, and more!)

  5. Homes - my first time moving out and in 2 weeks he brought me to my miracle on 2490, and a year later has placed me in a beautiful home in just 2 days. I thought I was going to be homeless for a moment, but He had a place the whole time- right with one of my friends who just bought a home and was looking for tenants. We knew our lease was up in August and started looking in April. Nothing fit what we wanted, and God said “wait until August”. I was a bit frustrated at what seemed like a lack of progress, but God had a place all along and opened the right door at just the right time.

  6. Daisy - I used to walk to church and grocery stores and Uber a lot, and while I enjoyed the nature walks, saved money on gas, and ministering in those Ubers, I began to realize I can ask the Lord for what I need and He is happy to provide. So I asked Him for a car and said if it’s yellow I can name her Daisy. A little later while in my living room I began to praise and worship and heard: “new car”. I began to ask: am I going to buy one or are you going to give it to me?” He said, “I am giving it to you.” A little later, “two weeks” dropped in my Spirit. I didn’t know what it was, but I knew in 2 weeks, something is happening. Two weeks later, in the last session of Be You On Purpose Experience at Worship With Wonders Church, I was gifted a whole new car, with gas and insurance covered for a whole year. I was overwhelmed with gratitude, humbled by the generosity of my Pastors and our church, and filled with pure joy!

  7. Positioning me in Wonder Kids & Wonder Kids Academy - my passion for children is not my own, but rather a gift from the Lord. He gave me the desire, gave me the place to be planted, and continual opportunities to grow and mature through serving His people and children.

This is not a full list, His works are uncontainable. Nonetheless, I don’t want to forget this. In all the blessings He has already released, I can’t imagine what’s next. I’m starting to believe, “The Lord is sweet” is an understatement.
