You are His obsession.

Last week the Lord gave me the sweetest revelation : The Lord doesn’t just love us, He is obsessed with us. I was driving in my car when suddenly I thought of one of the most popular scriptures: John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that all who believe in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life”. Sometimes that scripture really rolls off the tongue and the magnitude of that truth is lost.

Just think about it in the natural for a second: there’s a man who loves you so much and even though you are not paying him any attention, not listening to what he is saying, or showing any sign of softening your heart towards him, he decides to give what’s most precious to Him in hopes that you would turn to him. That sounds like a man madly in love. It sounds like obsession. That’s how strong the love of God is.

Romans 5:8 “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”

Whenever thoughts of doubt about the Lord’s love for you arise, remind yourself that God doesn’t just love you, He is obsessed with you. He wants relationship with you. He wants all of you.

Ephesians 3:18-19 “And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.”
