Harvest Time

I harvested my Mesclun plant not too long ago and I was sooo happy! Even though I didn’t care for the taste that much, it brought me joy to see something that started only as a little seed grow to a whole plant and be ready for harvest!

Galatians 6:9 So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.

Mark 4:28-29 The earth produces the crops on its own. First a leaf blade pushes through, then the heads of wheat are formed, and finally the grain ripens. 29 And as soon as the grain is ready, the farmer comes and harvests it with a sickle, for the harvest time has come.”

Starting this garden has really taught me a lot about faith and about God’s timing. We can decide when we sew and water, but the Lord controls the timing. If you saw one of my previous posts, you know I almost threw my pepper plant out because the time for it to sprout passed. Once I realized it indeed was growing, I was humbled by His timing. So no matter what you are believing for or how long you feel it’s taking, remember that “at just the right time” not a second too soon or too late, but “at just the right time, we WILL reap a harvest…” I love the word of God because He never uses the word “might” unless it’s to describe His power. He says “will” and "shall” because His promises are true. Yes, this is another post about faith. After all, that is why we are here. So hold onto your faith, and expect your miracle because it’s HARVEST TIME!
